ABOUT
José Plata is a Colombian designer and artist currently based in Barcelona. He works in installations, video, sound, virtual worlds, experiences and live performances.His practice involves collecting samples and inputs from the real world through processes of recording, registering, drawing or scanning, combining analog and digital processes with custom-built systems to translate them into unexpected outputs that explore subjects such as materiality, spatial transformation, the nature of light and sound, noise, folklore, fiction and experimental narratives.
